CI Insulated Distribution Boards
CI insulated distribution boards have a high
degree of protection to IP 65 and can
therefore be used for all applications. They
offer a high level of protection for persons
and operational reliability. The box-type
assembly allows a wide range of combinations
with only a few modular components and
problem-free expansion if required. The high
degree of protection is ensured by the
insulated material used and the "total
insulation". This term was first used by
Moeller and has now been adopted in IEC
regulations. It indicates that the insulated
equipment has been completed enclosed in
insulated material in addition to the
insulation measures stipulated by IEC 364
and DIN VDE 0100.
The system consists of type-tested system
components that can be combined as required.
They are used for making main distribution
boards, subdistribution boards and control
panels.
The assembly and electrical equipment of the
board can be matched exactly to the
requirements of the application at hand.
Enclosures with fitted components are also
on offer for distribution boards that have
to be assembled quickly.
Thanks to its box-type design distribution
boards up to 630 A can be adapted easily to
different structural requirements and
applications.

the electrical equipment against dust,
humidity and water jets.
- Top quality polycarbonate makes the
enclosure particularly resistant to knocks
and aggressive substances.
- The total isolation feature ensures
optimum protection of persons and
operational reliability. This protection
measure is always functional and is not
subject to ageing.
Assembly, wiring and testing of the
distribution boards are carried out by
Moeller as standard, and all system modules
are available for self-assembly as an
alternative.
The circuit-breakers, fuses or motor
starters are permanently integrated as
functional units in the box-type enclosure.
