SmartWire. The best connections are easy.

The idea: connecting instead of wiring. Our new solution starts directly at the contactor. This applies regardless of whether it is part of a motor starter or is switching other loads.

A SmartWire module is fitted onto every standard contactor of Moeller‘s new xStart series. The I/O level is now located directly at the contactor.

Pre-assembled SmartWire cables are used to connect up to sixteen loads. Communication to the PLC is implemented via the SmartWire gateway – either via easyNet, CANopen or PROFIBUS.

The gateway and the connected motor starters and contactors are configured automatically. No particular know-how, software or special devices are required for mounting and commissioning. Wiring faults thus become a thing of the past.

The SmartWire cable is used to transfer both the activation of the contactors as well as the information about the switching states of the motor starters. The interconnection of the contactors and starters with control wiring is also unnecessary. This is also handled by SmartWire and the connected PLC. In short: the best connections are not only easy but with easyConnect SmartWire are also particularly effective.
