PKZ
Compact Starters and
High-Capacity
Compact Starters: Unbeatable
even at 500 V
What counts is operational
continuity
More than 80 % of
low-voltage switchgear
assemblies throughout the
world are used in mains
systems up to 400 V. Compact
starters and high-capacity
compact starters from the
PKZ 2 system is also
designed for rated
operational voltages of
500 V and 690 V. They
control high short-circuit
currents here as well.
PKZ 2 high-capacity compact
starters are inherently
short-circuit proof for
rated operational currents
of up to 40 A (30 kW).
Short-circuit currents of up
to 100 kA can thus be
switched safely. At the same
time, the units satisfy
IEC/EN 60947-4-1
requirements regarding
type "2" coordination. This
ensures very high
operational continuity.
Downtimes after a
short-circuit are reduced to
a minimum.
PKZ 2 compact starters
represent a more economic
solution for standard
applications. They comply
with IEC/EN 60947-4-1,
type "1" coordination.
