CoBox for Ethernet

The CoBox
network module makes all PS4 and PS416 controllers
Ethernet and WEB-enabled. The integrated WEB server
makes it possible to provide an Intranet and Internet
interface with an independent IP address. With the
CoBox, event-driven data exchange can be implemented
between controllers. Each PS4 controller can operate as
the master on the bus and send data if necessary to any
other PLC. |

On the Ethernet: 10 Base-T, 10 MBaud

OPC Server
|

Virtually all SCADA, visualization and management
systems support the OPC client-server interface. The PS4
- PS416 controllers equipped with OPC servers make the
process data available to the OPC clients.
The OPC server supports data access via the serial
interface and via Ethernet. This mode allows the PS4
CoBox, for example, to be automatically configured by
the OPC server. |

| Data transfer
to an individual Excel application is also possible.
Each OPC server is able to process requests from several
clients. Different software packages can access the
data of the OPC server in cases where, for example, data
is to be used several times, for example by a
visualization system or a database. For this, no
manufacturer-specific conventions or additional
implementations are required. |

Messaging via SMS

applications or for direct communication with the
service technician. The ready-made user modules offer
you a full range of possibilities and allow you to be
notified in good time of the operating status of the

Closed-Loop Control Toolbox

Typical
applications of the Closed-Loop Control Toolbox include
dynamic autotuning closed-loop temperature controllers
for packaging machines, extruder temperature
controllers, fuzzy controllers for heaters and pressure
and volume flow controllers. It contains 100 function
blocks:
- A wide range of PID controllers
- Fuzzy controllers
- Autotuning controllers

mathematical basis of the toolbox can be used to extend
the functionality of the PS4 system. In this way,
calculations such as trigonometric functions or
interpolations can be run inside the PLC. |

Telecontrol and remote signalling

Telecontrol
with “safe” transmission features:
- Telecontrol in compliance with IEC 870-5
- Remote signalling using SMS messaging

long distances can be covered easily and “safely”
