How is the EASY205-ASI addressed ?

As with all ASI slaves, the EASY205-ASI is addressed using a hand-held addressing unit (with an adapter on a 2.5 mm connector), or directly from the master via the ASI bus, provided that this supports remote addressing (such as the LE4-505-BS1 ASI master with a suitable MOELLER PLC).

How much and which data can the EASY205-ASI exchange with the AS-Interface master ?

As with all AS-i-slaves, a maximum of 4 input bits, 4 output bits and 4 parameter bits (from the point of view of the AS-i-master) can be transported between the master and slave.

This means the following:

    EASY: Direction: AS-i-master:
    S1, S2, S3, S4 => 4 input bits
    R1;R2;R3;R4 <= 4 output bits
    R5;R6;R7;R8 <= 4 parameter bits

For the EASY control relay it doesn't matter if it is a connected expansion module, a digital expansion module or an AS-i-slave.

How do you use the contacts and coils designated as ?

When using expansion units, the designation for the inputs on the expansion units are changed to "R" and the outputs of the expansion units to "S". This therefore creates a clear delineation, so that accesses to the inputs and outputs of the expansion units can be identified more clearly in the circuit diagram.

Can the outputs of the EASY..-D.-T.. units be provided with short-circuit monitoring?

The following inputs can be used for monitoring the outputs of the relevant EASY types:

    EASY412-D.-T..:
    I16 = Central fault indication for outputs Q1 to Q4.
    EASY62.-D.-T..:
    I16 = Central fault indication for outputs Q1 to Q4.
    I15 = Central fault indication for outputs Q5 to Q8.
    EASY620-D.-TE:
    R16 = Central fault indication for outputs S1 to S4.
    R15 = Central fault indication for outputs S5 to S8.

If one of the inputs is switched to "1", there is a fault on at least one of the outputs.

Is there a demo version of EASY-Soft and what are its restrictions compared to the full version ?

The EASY home page offers a link (see below) to the EASY download area. Here you can download the demo version of EASY-Soft in different languages. The demo version does not support online functions or Help functions.

Link: Download the Easy-Software Demo-Version

How many circuit connections can EASY412-... and EASY6..-... units support ?
